A most repeated question by the people is what is ISSB test. So guys ISSB test is just like the other test for recruitment in an organization. Well ISSB test pattern, syllabus and procedure is quite different from other tests.
ISSB stands for Inter Services Selection Board. ISSB is a board of Pakistan to select the candidates for the armed forces of Pakistan in these Armed Forces :
. Pakistan Army
. Pakistan Navy
ISSB has a quite well reputed system of selection in forces. ISSB tests the aspirants on the basis of their Physical, Mental, Moral and social skills for the final selection in these three armed forces. ISSB also ensure that a candidate must have some special skills to clear initial training successfully and perform well in challenging conditions effectively.
ISSB Initial Test
The candidates will appear in ISSB initial test and initial medical examination before appearing in ISSB. The selected candidates from initial test will be called for ISSB.
After the initial ISSB test selection then the ISSB conducts 4 days of test comprises of these three parts:
- Psychological Tests
- Out Door Tests
- Interview
These three tests comprises of many small tests which are as follow:

. Intelligence Test
. Mechanical Test
. Personality Test
. Group Discussions
. Group Planning
. Group Tasks
. Command Tasks
. Individual Obstacles
- Interview
ISSB Test Centers
The candidates selected from ISSB initial test are called to appear at ISSB Malir, Kohat, Gujranwala and Quetta Test centers for ISSB tests. The candidates must have to stay for four days at Test Centers for tests. All the tests Mentioned above are scheduled in different days in these four days.
Eligibility For ISSB
The general eligibility for ISSB is the Pakistan and permanent residents of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan can apply for ISSB if they fulfill the criteria for ISSB. ISSB Test Dates
As we know that ISSB test is for three different armed forces of Pakistan Pak Army, Pak Navy and Pak Air Force. Their test are conducted in varying dates in each year. Generally the test of each is advertised twice a year. Once test are advertised in January to June and second time from July to December each year. The test dates and advertisement dates may vary from year to year.
